Our Favorite Overnight Oats Recipes

Who has time to make breakfast these days?

It’s a gorgeous three day weekend and we’ve been chillin’ poolside with some kombucha cocktails . We haven’t even BEGUN to think about the week ahead. Whether you’re going back to school or heading to work after labor day,

it’s tough to get back into your groove after relaxing so hard! Make breakfast a breeze by prepping these overnight oats for your busy week ahead. What are overnight oats, anyway? When you soak rolled oats in liquid for a few hours,

they become moist, mushy, and delicious! Add chia seeds for extra soak-age and you’ve got yourself a nutritious superfood breakfast!

The Classic

½ cup rolled oats

2 tbsp chia seeds

2 tbsp coconut sugar

1 cup milk alternative

Cinnamon (to taste)

Optional toppings: granola, berries, peanut butter drizzle, coconut flakes, goji berries.

Peanut Butter Banana Nut Bread Overnight Oats

The Classic (see recipe above) +

½ banana, mashed

1 tbsp peanut butter

Nutmeg (optional)

Optional toppings: chopped nuts, peanut butter drizzle

Chocolate Lovers Overnight Oats

The Classic (see recipe above) +

1 tbsp cocoa powder

Optional toppings: coconut flakes, sliced almonds, strawberries, chocolate chips

Directions

Combine all ingredients into a jar or tupperware with a lid. Mix well to ensure all ingredients and liquid are evenly distributed. Let sit in the fridge for at least 4 hours, overnight is perfect!

Add all toppings (i.e. granola, nuts, fruit, chocolate chips, etc.) in the morning when the oats are ready. If you add them during the refrigeration period, they will get soggy!

Grab a cold-pressed juice or kombucha, your oats, and you’re ready to go!

Notes

Make sure to use rolled oats for maximum absorption.

Feel free to freestyle it however you want! It’s hard to mess up overnight oats. If you don’t like them in the morning, you can adjust by adding more liquid, toppings, etc.

Overnight oats are eaten cold. If you prefer a warmer oat, microwave your batch for 30 sec-1 min.
